Hair styles that reqire no heat

NO HEAT HAIRSTYLES

The easy hairstyles and tips here will enable you to have gorgeous hair every day without the help of a hairdryer, curling iron or flat iron! So why don’t you give your hair a break and try some of these super easy hairstyles right now? These heat-less hairstyles will save your hair and keep it from breaking so much, and they look great!

Crimped Style
Ditch the crimping iron because one of these easy hairstyles is one very popular, totally hot style you can literally achieve overnight! Wash your hair an hour before you’re planning to go to bed, give it about 30 minutes to dry naturally, then braid it into a lot of thin, tight braids. Leave the braids overnight, undo them in the morning, style your hair and voila! This is a great trick if you have oily, curly or straight hair!

Wavy Hair
How easy would it be to get a head full of shiny, perfectly polished waves without a double or triple barrel curing iron? Well, it’s actually pretty easy! Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair. Let your hair dry until it is slightly damp. Use a wide toothed comb to ensure that there are no more tangles. If you have hard to curl hair, rub a little texturizing paste into your hair. Now take a hair tie, twist your hair and put it up in a messy bun. Wait for your hair to dry completely and then slowly take off the hair tie and style as required. Remember, the more hair ties and the more buns you make, the tighter your curls will be.

Wild Curly Hair
Cut an old tee/sheet/pillowcase into long strips (or you could just use socks), then wrap sections of your half dried hair into them by placing the end of each section on the center of the strip and rolling up. Once you’re done, just tie the ends of the strip together and move to the next section. And remember, the smaller your sections are, the tighter your wild curly hair will be.

Natural Loose Curls
Start with dry, clean hair, then slightly wet only the bottom half of your length. Apply styling mousse on the damp part, comb it to distribute the mousse evenly, then put it up in a tightly rolled bun. Allow your hair a couple of hours to dry and form, then let it down and enjoy your natural loose curls! This can work for any type of hair.

Spiral Curls
You don’t need a curling iron to have sexy curls, not when you can get wild spiral curls without heat. The trick to creating spiral curls without using heat is to fold small sections of your wet hair onto your scalp, then pin those loops down using bobby pins. It takes some time and you’ll need to arm yourself with patience but the end result is so amazing that you’ll want to do this all the time. Bonus tip: Do this before you go to bed and secure your loops overnight by sleeping with a shower cap on.

Twisty Hair

This technique is one of the best ways to get big, wild hair overnight! Take tiny sections of hair, apply a generous amount of the styling product of your choice, then twist each section until it starts to coil around its base. Secure these little knots with small silicone bands or bobby pins, let loose after a few hours, and you're instantly rocking some sexy, twisty hair!

Vintage Hair
I know lots of you are in love with vintage hair, which is really having a moment! The good news is that you can create gorgeous curls and waves without any heat whatsoever. You'll need some good foam rollers, some patience, and a love of old Hollywood glam, plus a quality bristle brush won't hurt! Vintage hair looks retro and regal at the office, in the classroom, and definitely out on a romantic date, and since the vintage look is so easy, what's to stop you from trying it?

Cocoon Curls
Looking for those messy, slept in curls? Drop that curler and keep on reading! This technique for bouncy curls requires almost no tools except for your fingers. Beforehand you just need to slightly wet your hair and you are ready to start. The whole process consists of twisting and turning of your hair around itself and your fingers.

Bantu Knot Curls
There is no need to damage your hair and burn your already dried roots to achieve the bombshell curls! Using a curing iron might give great results but completely ruin your hair in the long run. So instead we can resort to bantu knots that are easy and completely harmless. Just grab a handful of hairbands and get going. Take a chunk of your hair, twist it around and then begin twisting it in a bun. Once you are done with it secure the twisted bun with a hair band and continue with the whole head. The next morning you will wake up with sexy bombshell curls!

Deep Curls

One of my favorite ways to achieve deep waves is by using old magazines. It's cheap, easy and it produces perfect results. You just have to make sure to damp your hair slightly so that the curls grab on easier and your hair is able to dry overnight. After that rip pages out of the magazine, fold them in desired length and wrap your hair around it. The only material that you would need besides a magazine is bobby pins, to secure the pages with the hair.

Prominent Waves
Are there several scarfs lying around in your closet? Don't throw them out because you can actually recycle them and use them as curlers! All you need to do is take sections of damp hair and wrap them around the scarf. Once you have completed your whole head, the last thing you need to do is sleep on it. It might cause some discomfort but beauty is pain!

Beach Hair

REJUVENATE YOUR HAIR AFTER THE BEACH
Everyone loves a day spent relaxing by the water, except for your hair, that is. The salty sea air and water can do serious damage to your hair if you’re not careful. Here are some ways to rejuvenate your hair after a day spent near the waves!

Leave-in Conditioner

Leave-in conditioner is definitely one of the fastest and easiest ways to rejuvenate your hair. Spray a little bit in your damp hair, and you’ll notice a world of difference when your hair dries. It will feel soft, even if you just spent the day swimming in salt water!

Dry Shampoo

If your hair looks a little grimy after a day at the beach, spray some dry shampoo in it. Not only will it get rid of any grease and build-up, but dry shampoo also adds a nice texture to your hair, as well as giving your hair a lot of volume to play with!

Play with Your Natural Texture

If you just spent the day at the beach, there’s a fairly good chance that the salty air has helped your hair achieve the beach waves goodness we all attempt to replicate on a daily basis. If you’re satisfied with how it looks naturally, leave it rather than try to tame it with different oils and moisturizers!

Coconut Oil

If you have thin hair, proceed with caution when it comes to coconut oil, it can leave the hair looking greasy. It’s a great moisturizer for your hair, especially after a day at the beach, when you’re looking for something that will get the job done while smelling as amazing as the beach you just left. If you apply it before, it can help seal in your hair cuticles and protect them from damage.

Do Some Prep Work

If you’re worried about damage before you go to the beach, you can try a moisturizing mask or a leave-in conditioner before you head out. If you’re spending the day at the pool rather than the beach, there are so many products we offer that will save your hair from chlorine damage, whether you’re blonde or brunette!

Give Your Hair a Break

Both before and after a day at the beach, it’s important to give your hair some time off. Don’t run straight to the flat iron or blow dryer after a day at the beach, no matter how tempting it may seem. Think of it this way: you’re worn out after a day at the beach, and so is your hair. Don’t put it through too much after a day of salty air and swimming!

Try a Moisturizing Mask

If your hair is in major need of repair after a day at the beach, try our brazilian blowout hair masque or our intense hydrator. The night after a day at the beach, slather your hair with a moisturizing mask to get it back to its original softness. In fact, your hair may even be softer than you remember!

Music Festival Hair Styles

MUSIC FESTIVAL HAIR STYLES

It is almost music festival time! The best music festival hairstyles are easy, functional, comfortable, and stylish. This will give you the opportunity to try out something new or simply to let your natural waves set free.

FLOWER HEADBAND
One of the easiest hairstyles for music festivals is to simply add a flower headband to your hair. This look is adorable and perfect for this occasion. They will work great with any haircut, style, or color. Flower headbands are a way to add something special to the hair without going over the top.

TOP KNOT
Since most music festivals are outdoors in the summer, keeping your hair off your neck is a great idea. A simple top knot bun is a great option. They are easy to do and look fantastic.

BRAIDS
Braids are another great option for music festival hairstyles. A braid will keep the hair off your neck while still keeping your hair down in  a cute style. Any type of braid will look cute for a music festival. Check out a few of our blogs a while back to find some braid options.

NATURAL CURLS
This will be the perfect occasion to rock your natural curls.  If the festival you go to stretches out over a few days, most likely you will be camping out and won't have access to your hair tools and products. Not only will your natural curls look good, but you will love the easy maintenance.

CHAIN HEADPIECE
If you aren't into the flower headbands, consider a chain headpiece. These boho hair accessories are the perfect addition to your music festival look. Leave your hair down with a center part and add the headpiece for a simple accent.

PONYTAIL
A ponytail will be low maintenance, will keep your hair off your neck, and will work with hats or other hair accessories. Any hair length can rock this look out, it's a classic style.

HAIR BOW
If you are up for a little more of a challenge, rocking a hair bow is a cute idea for a music festival. It is a unique bun that will have your hair set apart from the rest. You will need some hairspray and bobby pins for this look. Trust me it will be well worth it when it's all put together!

Hairstyles without heat

HAIRSTYLES WITHOUT HEAT

The easy hairstyles and tips I’m going to talk about today will enable you to have gorgeous hair every day without the help of a hairdryer, curling iron or flat iron! These heatless hairstyles will save your hair and keep it from breaking so much -- and they look great! Here are a few heatless, effortless hairstyles to help you get started.

FRIZZY CRIMPED STYLE

Wash your hair an hour before you’re planning to go to bed, give it about 30 minutes to dry naturally, then braid it into a lot of thin, tight braids. Leave the braids overnight, undo them in the morning, style your hair and voila! This is a great trick if you have oily, curly or straight hair!

beach WAVY HAIR

How easy would it be to get a head full of shiny, perfectly polished waves without a double or triple barrel curing iron? Well, it’s actually pretty easy, otherwise this surfer girl wavy hair style just wouldn’t be on my list.

Want some more simple hairstyles that don’t require heat or heat protectors? Cut an old t-shirt/sheet/pillowcase into long strips, then wrap sections of your half dried hair into them by placing the end of each section on the center of the strip and rolling up. Once you’re done, just tie the ends of the strip together and move to the next section. And remember, the smaller your sections are, the tighter your wild curly hair will be.

NATURAL LOOSE CURLS

Don’t you just love those romantic, natural loose curls? Well, this easy hairstyle can also be achieved without any heat and here’s exactly how to do it! This can work for any type of hair!

Heat Free Styling

TIME SAVING HAIRSTYLES WITHOUT THE USE OF HEAT

Heatless hairstyles are a lifesaver for saving time and something you should most definitely take advantage of in case you’re trying to reduce hair damage!

RETRO HEADBAND UPDO

One of the most popular heatless hairstyles ever, headband curls, can look pretty awesome even before it’s done! Use a pretty headband instead of a plain one, section your still damp hair carefully, smooth it down using a styling product of choice then wind each section precisely. The result will be a clean, vintage-looking updo you can wear out while waiting for your curls to form.

HEADBAND CURLS

Ready to exchange your demure vintage ‘do for a stylish evening look? Well, all you’ll have to do is to slide the headband off, finger-style your curls and apply a bit of hairspray! It’s a perfect day to evening transformation!

MESSY SIDE PONYTAIL

In case your hair tends to keep its shape rather well, you’ll realize there’s still plenty of body to work with even once your lush curls have been slept on. Rub a small amount of hair oil between your palms, finger comb your hair gently for a smooth polished look then grab a chunk of hair at your nape and use it to secure the rest into a low, loose side ponytail. Voila!

CHIC UPDO

There are many great ways to make do with your second day headband curls and this chic glam up do is definitely one of the styles I go for whenever my curls hold up well. Secure your hair into a high, side ponytail, slide the elastic band to loosen the pony up a bit, then loop the length forward. Mass of curls cascading over the side of your face will create a really interesting, highly unusual effect you’ll love!

VOLUMINOUS MESSY BUN

In case your idea of a quick hairstyle involves something less edgy, you’ll definitely want to try a messy bun! The volume and texture of hair that has been curled previously is absolutely ideal for it! You can style the top into a little pouf, slide a cute headband on or add an interesting hair pin – as long as you manage a great-looking messy bun (and that will be a piece of cake), you’ll be able to enjoy a second day of great hair even if you’ve woke up with a mass of unruly used-to-be-curls.

BOHO WAVES

In case you’re blessed with obedient hair or simply don’t get the urge to travel the expanse of your bed a dozen of times in your sleep, you just may wake up with curls that still look presentable. Dress them up by adding cool headband or one of those stylish, trendy, exotic-looking head-chains and you’ll have a brand new hairstyle to help you look and feel absolutely stunning.

FANCY PONYTAIL

Last but not the least, one of those classic styles a girl can always fall back on. Simply brush and untangle your hair and style it into a perfectly polished ponytail you’ll then twirl around your finger a bit to get the remaining curls to mold into each other and form a nice curve.

Easy Summer Styles

Easy Summer Styles
Summer is a time for letting loose, being carefree and staying cool – and what better way to achieve all three than with easy, breezy summer hairstyles? Put away the hairdryer, the straightening irons and all of those other styling products that require heat and make you sweat. For this season, keep it cool, look cute and stay fresh with these super cute and super easy to achieve summer hairstyles.

THE PONY TAIL

The age-old, go-to hairstyle is as fashionable as ever and is one of the easiest summer hairstyles to achieve. Not only is it super easy to create, but there are several ways to wear this style. Slick back your hair, pull it all together and secure it on top of your crown with an elastic band to create a slick, playful look. Gather it loosely at the nape of your neck for a more sophisticated, romantic style. Pull it to the side of your head for an edgier look. Add some extra dimension and interest by pulling a few strands of hair out to frame your face, or secure the pony with a ribbon or a bandana.

BEACH BABY

Stop trying to control those waves or that extra body and instead embrace it during the summer months. Hair that looks like you just came from the beach is playful and completely carefree. To achieve this style, apply some wave-creating product to your damp hair, flip your head upside down and scrunch it with your hand. As your hair dries, those waves will come out and you will have a lovely, stylish ‘do.

THE BRAID

A braid is another simple to achieve, go-to hairstyle that is perfect for the summer months. And, just like the ponytail, there are a variety of ways to wear a braid. Do a loose one at the nape of your neck. Pull your hair into a high pony and braid it. Gather your hair to one side and tie it in a braid that cascades over one shoulder. Other options include the classic French and the trendy fishtail.

A BUN

Want to really keep cool this summer? A bun is an excellent option. This style pulls all of your hair up and off of your neck, plus it looks sweet, romantic and sophisticated. Start by putting your hair in a ponytail and wrap your hair around the elastic that is securing your pony. Use a few pins to hold the bun in place. Alternatively, you can braid the pony and then wrap it around the elastic and secure it into place.

RANDOM PINNING

Create a super easy up-do that will keep you cool and give you a chic look this summer. To achieve this style, randomly twist sections of your hair, pull them up and secure them at random points on the back of your head with bobby pins. Instead of twisting, you can also try braiding.

A HEADBAND

Want to keep your hair down, but out of your face? How about wearing a headband? There are so many different types of headbands out there, so you can easily find one that will work with your outfit or your look. Comb your hair smooth or create some body and scrunch it. Part it down the middle or to one side, or slick it back and put your headband in place.

HALF UP, HALF DOWN

A half up, half down style is always a great option for the summer months. There are a number of ways you can wear this one. Pull the top of your hair back, slick it back and secure it with a clip or an elastic band. Loosely gather the top of your hair so that a part remains in your hair, and secure it just below your crown.
